  • Alibi- A claim or piece of evidence that one was elsewhere when an act, typically a criminal one, is alleged to have taken place. (Oxford dict.)

  • COD- Cause of Death

  • Crime of passion- A violent crime, especially homicide, in which the perpetrator commits the act against someone because of sudden strong impulse such as sudden rage rather than as a premeditated crime. (Wiki)

  • Homicide- Broader term for major crimes involving both, legal and illegal killings.

  • Falcon- The lowest rank in a drug cartel, "falcons" are the eyes and ears of the streets. (Wiki)

  • Narcotics - Relating to drugs.

  • Premeditated murder- Murder planned beforehand.

  • Search warrant- A legal document authorizing a police officer or other official to enter and search premises. (Oxford)

  • Stippling- In forensic science, stippling refers to a pattern of gunshot residue burned into the skin that results from close proximity to a discharged firearm. (Wiki)

  • Trace evidence- Evidence that's created when objects make contact.


  • Acetaminophen- Paracetamol.

  • Benzodiazepine- Psychotic drug used in antidepressant and antipsychotic pills.

  • Diamorphine- Chemical name of Heroin, the narcotic derived from morphine.

  • Glock- Police handgun.

  • Livor Mortis- Also known as lividity, it is the settling of blood after death in gravity-dependent portions of the body, including in the organs.

  • Rigor Mortis- Postmortem change in a dead body resulting in the stiffening of the body muscles.

  • Sertraline- Drug used in antidepressants.


  • M.O.- Modus operandi; In criminology, M.O. is the distinct pattern or manner of working that comes to be associated with a particular criminal.

  • Hearsay- Term in law. Information received from other people which cannot be substantiated; rumor.

  • Manslaughter- The crime of killing a human being without malice aforethought, or in circumstances not amounting to murder.

  • Involuntary manslaughter- The crime of killing another human being unlawfully but unintentionally; acting in the moment.
